No. 8 Salmon Street

Inspired by the Mentone coastline, this collection of 10 dwellings at 8 Salmon Street features a contemporary architectural design that harmonizes with a natural aesthetic. The building’s facade is a blend of subdued render, earthy highlights, and contrasting black awnings, while indigenous landscaping and wall-climbing greenery soften the appearance at street level.

Through considered orientation and intelligent design, each residence takes advantage of passive design principles such as cross-flow ventilation and natural sunlight, helping to reduce energy consumption and costs for the occupants.

The residences at 8 Salmon Street are designed to foster a sense of community among the occupants, while also positively contributing to the evolving housing typology of Mentone.
